Upgraded to Version 5.1

Upgraded to Version 5.1

Design-Ireland has been upgraded to version 5.1, which follows closely on the heals of the recent major upgrade to version 5.0. The new version is significant in itself, as it provides the following improvements:

  • Printer-friendly versions of the articles are now available.
  • Site members can now post comments on any of the articles on the site (you need to be logged in to do this).
  • Site members can now rate an article on the site by using the voting option. Once again, you need to log in first before you can do this.
  • Members can now provide an optional site URL in their profile, which will be used to provide a link back to their home site from each comment they post.

Please note that the user forum will follow in a future release. Also note that as this is the first time that I have allowed user-generated content to appear on this site, I will be extra vigilant with regard to watching out for spam!

I hope you enjoy the new features; many more are planned for 2007.
