The new Microsoft Surface tables look like an interesting way to interact with a computer:

Perhaps not very practical for power users (would not fancy trying to work with CAD or doing some programming on one of those), but for the home consumer and public display markets they might catch on, so long as the price comes down over time.


Updated 2021 : note that the above post is out of date as it was originally published in 2007, but is left here for archival purposes. The Surface was not released in the table format as far as I aware, but is instead a regular laptop format now.
