jQuery Mobile

jQuery Mobile

Sponsored by Palm amongst others, the jQuery Mobile project aims to bring the JavaScript jQuery framework to modern mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets running Android and webOS. From their website, the framework promises to be:

"A unified user interface system across all popular mobile device platforms, built on the rock-solid jQuery and jQuery UI foundation. Its lightweight code is built with progressive enhancement, and has a flexible, easily themeable design."

The project looks very exciting, and may come just in time for me at the end of this year as I am aiming to start developing mobile-friendly versions of existing web applications of mine that already use jQuery.
