Alpha Framework 1.1 Released

Last week I released version 1.1 of the Alpha Framework for PHP, which you can download from here:

Overall I am very pleased with this release, as it de-couples Alpha from the MySQLi API in PHP, and in doing so introduces a new DAO (Data Access Object) interface that enables you to implement business object storage in other databases or key/value stores apart from MySQL. I intend to write a lot more about the new features in Alpha in the new year, as well as working on the 1.2 release to add support for other databases and a REST API for accessing business objects.
